Maple Leaf Kitchen Remodel
Recently completed, the kitchen of this 1930’s house is located in the Maple Leaf neighborhood of Seattle. The kitchen had been renovated in recent years, but the layout was awkward and the space too closed off from the rest of the house. We redesigned this space to open up to the adjacent living spaces and added a new mudroom off the back, with space for a small table and storage. Larger windows were added to allow for better natural light and to pick up on views to the south, while a bank of pull-out IKEA cabinets helps reduce the need for wall cabinets. Furnishings for the mudroom and eating area still need to be selected and we look forward to seeing how the space continues to evolve!
